“He surrounds himself with quality people. Some of the other people who left were more dedicated to Steve than they were to North high school. That's fine. That speaks a ton about what kind of person Steve is.”
“I think Kimberly is a growing community. It is a community that values athletics. It's a one-horse town. There's no North-West rivalry, there's no three schools in the district. The kids in middle school know they are going to Kimberly High School. And that goes a long way in building loyalty and building a program.”
“I really do think it will change for the better. First and foremost, it truly is a community problem. It's about academics. Athletics fall in the shadows when it comes to the boundaries. Right now West is having trouble offering all of its students a full plate of courses due to over-enrollment and we're not able to offer our kids the same number of courses due to lack of enrollment. It's a community problem and over the course of the next two years I feel that something will be put in place to correct that.”
“I think once our new coaches get established they are going to be comforted by their level of dedication and loyalty and work ethic to not only North but the kids in their program.”
